Thick Strings Pictures is a creative studio run by couple and artistic Duo Angel Reid and Jack Farrell. Living and working in London the pair call on a broad range of experience from the worlds of Fine Art and Design to produce show stopping still life photography.

Utilising a bold and minimal aesthetic, the studio provides the full package handling each stage of the creative process in house, from start to finish.

Jack Farrell

Graduating with a BA (Hons) from the Glasgow School of Art’s Fine Art Photography course in 2012 Jack is a contemporary artist as well as our head photographer. As co-founder of Thick Strings Pictures, Jack plays a role in all stages of the image making process from the development of concepts to the retouching and finishing of our images.

He is a Hackney Native and has a borderline obsession with David Attenborough.

Angel Reid

Angel is in charge of set design at Thick Strings Pictures and graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 2015. After finishing a degree in Silversmithing and Jewellery design, she spent the subsequent years building a career as a freelance illustrator as well as teaching young people within several arts outreach programmes.

As both a maker and an authority on design, Angel is a true all-rounder. She is our main spokesperson building strong and constructive relationships with our clients, a creative force in the image making process and a total whizz with a scalpel.
