A Most Magical Christmas: Mary Poppins on the rooftops

On Oxford Street, a little Mary Poppins magic has taken shape through thirteen exquisitely detailed miniature dollhouses. Each one was created by our team at ThickStrings Pictures. From a lovingly hand crafted replica of the famous Admiral’s House to tiny pigeons perched just so, every interior and exterior was designed to feel richly festive and full of Christmas charm.

Made entirely in-house, the miniature world invites passers-by to peer closer discovering rooms, carefully dressed scenes and moments of quiet wonder woven into each house.

As Poppins herself said “in every job that must be done, there is an element of fun” and in this collaboration it wasn’t difficult to find it! It was a true pleasure to collaborate with the brilliant creative teams at Selfridges and Disney.
